New York state driver facing DUI

A New York state driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Wilbert Antonio Pimentel, of Brooklyn, was warned by Beltzville State Park rangers and troopers not to drive after his friend was arrested for DUI while at the park.

Troopers said Pimentel proceed to drive to the barracks at 5730 Interchange Road in Towamensing Township, on Sunday, July 18, about 10:39 p.m. in an attempt to pick up his friend. He was placed under arrest for DUI. Charges are pending.
