One man injured in crash

A Saylorsburg man received minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident that occurred July 16 at 5:20 a.m. along Kunkletown Road, at Old Route 115, in Ross Township, Monroe County.

According to state police at Lehighton Richard Detorres, 46, of Saylorsburg, driving a 2008 Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle, was stopped at Kunkletown Road, waiting to make a left turn into the Sunoco Gas Station when he was struck from behind by a 2008 Toyota Rav4, driven by Michael Hnedak, 32, of Saylorsburg. Hnedak was traveling east at the time of impact.

Hnedak was not injured while Detorres was transported to Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. Hnedak was wearing a seat belt; Detorres was wearing a helmet.
