Schuylkill man charged

A Schuylkill County man has been charged with simple assault following an incident that occurred about 12:50 a.m. at 56 Wiggins St., in New Philadelphia.

State police at Frackville said April Miller, of that address, told them that Robert Anderson, also of New Philadelphia, pulled her hair and kicked her in the head while the two were involved in an argument. Troopers said Miller showed signs of recent physical contact but refused medical treatment.

Anderson was taken into custody and arraigned before a district judge and released on bail.
