Vehicle stop leads to wanted person
A vehicle stop conducted by members of the Pocono Mountain Regional police led to the arrest of a wanted person.
Police said about 5:33 p.m. on Sunday, July 18, officers on routine patrol along SR196 in Coolbaugh Township, observed a vehicle traveling without a driver side front tire. A vehicle stop was made and the driver identified as Jacqueline Cooper, of Tobyhanna.
A check on Cooper's license revealed there was an active warrant for her arrest issued to the Monroe County's sheriffs' office for a driving under the influence (DUI) charge.
She was taken into custody and lodged in the county prison in Snydersville.
