July 23, 1958 Dean Leslie, a converted catcher making his first pitching start, tosses a one-hitter to lead Lehighton to a 2-0 shutout win of Palmerton in Tri-County Legion League action. Leslie strikes out nine batters and only allows a first-inning single to Jimmy Wargo. Christman collects three hits for the winners while Tony Fredicine and Terry German each finish with a hit and run scored.
