Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 3:27 a.m. on Thursday, July 22.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers conducted a traffic stop along SR940 just west of Stoney Hollow Road, for a motor vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Aydin Matos, of Tobyhanna. Matos was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. She was then transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results.
