Cited for trespassing

Three individuals were cited for criminal trespass after they trespassed on a property in Summit Hill.

According to borough police on July 16, at 6:48 a.m. police were dispatched to 530 E. White Bear Drive for persons trespassing.

Upon arrival the owner of the residence said he observed three individuals, later identified as Eric Matthews, 33, of 107 Hawthorne Drive, Jim Thorpe; Joshua Stein, 28, of 237 Main St., Walnutport; and Edwin Mertz, 50, of 131 Mauch Chunk St., Lehighton, on his property. The men then left the property and went onto property at Mauch Chunk Lake Park.

Police responded to the area and spoke with the three men who were trespassing.
