Seniors are welcome to sign up for the free senior boxes on July 30 from 10 to noon at the Meed's Methodist Church on West Catawissa Street.
Summit Hill
Preschool enrollment
Registration is now open for the 2010-2011 school year of the Little Angels Pre-School of Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford.
The preschool offers a two-day-per-week program for 3-year-olds, with sessions to be held from 9-11:30 a.m. Mondays and Fridays; and a three-day-per-week program for 4-5-year-olds, with sessions to be for the full day or from 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
Activities in math, language, music, science, art and readiness are offered. These activities allow for social interaction, exploration and academic development in a safe and interesting environment.
The full-day program also includes social studies, science and music appreciation.
Tuition assistance is available.

Volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed to help with the cleanup and preparatory work associated with upcoming grand opening of the Summit Hill Heritage Center.
The center is located at the former St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hazard and Chestnut streets.
Organizer Debra Ranck is proposing workday sessions for every Saturday morning in August.
Persons interested in helping with the chores are asked to contact Ranck at (717) 787-3672.
Borough council
The monthly meeting of the Summit Hill Borough Council will be held on Monday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. in the borough hall.
Joseph Weber, president, will be in charge of the session.
Legion to meet
The monthly meeting of American Legion Post 316, Summit Hill, will be held on Monday, Aug. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the post home. Commander W. Kevin O'Donnell will be in charge of the session.
A meeting of the Home Association will immediately follow the post's meeting.
Recreation commission
The Summit Hill Recreation Commission will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. in the borough hall.
Coaldale
Tax Office
The Coaldale Tax Office will be closed July 29-30. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, Aug. 3.
The office is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 10 a.m. until noon, and from 1-4 p.m.
If taxpayers qualify for exoneration or exemptions, they must return an Exoneration Form, along with Proof of Eligibility, so as not to be turned in delinquent.
This applies to both county/municipal and school taxes.
