Tamaqua couple wed 60 years
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder if 313 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on July 29.
They were married in Zion Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, by the late Rev. Charles Schlitzer.
Mrs. Snyder is the former Joan Schlosser. Prior to retiring, she had been employed by the Borough of Tamaqua, for 25 years, as the borough secretary.
Her husband is a disabled veteran with more than 16 years of service with the U.S. Army. He is retired from the former Diversified Metals Corporation, Hometown, where he had been employed as plant superintendent.
The couple has two daughters: Suzanne Blanchard of Gatesville, Texas; and Kim Kropp of Tamaqua.
They also have three grandchildren, Christina Foeller in Alaska, Robert Foeller in Idaho and David Kotansky of Tamaqua; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Myriah Foeller in Idaho.
