Theft of pickup truck is probed
State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of a pickup truck from a Schuylkill County business. It was one of several incidents probed by troopers.
A 1989 Ford F150 pickup, white in color, was stolen while parked at Bill's Auto Body, located at the rear of 348 Anderson St., Mechanicsville, sometime between 3:45 p.m. on May 27 and 7:30 a.m. on May 28. Troopers said the truck was unlocked and the ignition keys were inside the vehicle. The truck is owned by William Stock, 54, of St. Clair, troopers said.
Troopers are investigating the theft of a Pomeranian dog, brown in color, from a yard at 1418 Stag Drive, in South Manheim Township. The dog was taken sometime between 5 and 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 29.
Troopers are probing a theft incident at the Shalmet Corporation property at 116 Pinedale Industrial Road, in Orwigsburg, West Brunswick Township. Sometime between midnight and 7 a.m. on May 28 unknown persons removed about 3,750 pounds of alloy steel from the property. No value was listed for the missing steel.
