Burglaries, theft incidents probed
State police at Lehighton reported investigating burglary and theft incidents.
Troopers said the home of Ann Higgins, 43, of Meixell Valley Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County, was entered and removed were several items and firearms.The entry occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and noon on May 25.
Unknown criminals attempted to gain entry to a residence along Pin Oak Drive, in Polk Township, Monroe County, by trying to pry open a back door. The incident occurred sometime between May 25-27.
On Sunday, May 30, unknown persons entered the vehicle of Akantha M. Susko, 41, of Bear Creek Lakes, Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, and removed her wallet from her pocket book. The incident occurred sometime between 2 and 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 30.
Brian Cunningham, 55, of 711 Creek Drive, in Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported his vehicle entered while parked near his home and removed was various hand and power tools along with a GPS unit. Estimated value of the missing items was $600. The incident occurred overnight of May 27-28.
Michelle Palermo, 39, of 5060 Bollinger Road, in Kunkletown, Eldred Township, Monore County, reported someone removed a black Poulan pro riding lawn mower from her residence sometime between May 24-29.
The window pane on the front door of the home of Louis Taschler, 33, of Northampton, and located along Little Gap Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, was smashed sometime between 4 and 4:30 p.m. on May 25.
Robert Anthony Grobe, 63, of 115 Serfass Road, in Kunkletown, reported someone smashed the basement window on his home sometime overnight of May 22-23.
