The Tamaqua Senior Citizens Group met last week with 93 members present, as well as one guest, Lucille Breunig, and two new members, James Eick and Paul Randig.
The business session was conducted by President Jean Machamer.
A Memorial service was celebrated with a prayer from Vice President Doris Brobst entitled "Almighty Fathers." There was a candle lighting for 13 deceased members. A luncheon was served following the service.
Brobst sent get a well card to Rose Vallee. Jean Yanek was added to the sick list.
Eleanor Roberts also had a reading entitled "The Book of Life".
Secretary Eleanor Schmerfeld will give her reports next week.
Anyone 55 or older is welcome to join. The meeting room is handicapped accessible and is located in the Tamaqua Community, to the rear of Boyer's Food Market.
