The Coaldale Lions Club will meet on Tuesday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 22, at the Viennese Villa, 201 Ruddle St. Each meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m. and will be conducted by Robert E. Ames, president.

The June 22 meeting is the last indoor meeting until September.

Summit Hill

Methodist Charge

The schedule for the Coaldale-Summit Hill United Methodist Charge for Sunday, June 6, is as follows:

Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will preside at both services.

The adult Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Coaldale church.

League to meet

The Anthracite Little League will meet on Sunday, June 6, at 1 p.m. at the Nesquehoning Borough Building. President Roobhenn Smith will be in charge of the session and encourages all officers, managers and parents to attend.

Bloodmobile planned

St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, will sponsor a bloodmobile visit on behalf of the Miller-Keystone Blood Center on Monday, June 14, from noon to 6:30 p.m. in the church hall.

the center serves as the only blood provider to Easton Hospital, Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Hazleton General Hospital, Lehigh Valley Health Network, Palmerton Hospital and the St. Luke's Hospital and Health Network.
