Assault, theft incident probed

Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating a reported assault and theft incident.

Police said about 12:27 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, officers were dispatched to the area of Deerwood Drive in A Pocono Country Place, in Tobyhanna. On scene a female juvenile from Tobyhanna told officers she was assaulted and had several items stolen from her including a black slide cell phone and a silver IPod touch.

The suspects in the incident were described as three black males dressed in black clothing. One suspect was riding a bicycle and the other two were on foot. The victim sustained minor facial injuries, police added.
