Two vehicle crash on I81 in Schuylkill
State police at Frackville reported investigating a two vehicle crash about 6:40 p.m. on Monday, June 7, along Interstate 81 in Cass Township, Schuylkill County.
Troopers said Thomas P. Konstas, 47, of Tamaqua, and Darlene A. Gedrich, 44, of Reston, Va., were both northbound in the left lane. Troopers said Gedrich slowed for another vehicle slowing in the left lane. Konstas was behind Gedrich and was unable to stop in time with the front of his 2002 Honda Accord hitting the rear of Gedrich's 2009 Acura MDX.
No one was injured in the crash. Troopers cited Konstas for following too closely.
