Arrest, citations in Nesquehoning

Nesquehoning police reported on arrests and citations issued recently by officers.

On May 28 about 11:45 p.m. Officers Timothy Wuttke and Carl Breiner were dispatched to a fight and loud noise complaint at 24 N. Allen St. Upon arrival Jennifer Shaika, 846 Fairyland Rd., Lehighton, was warned repeatedly to stop yelling obsentities. She was then arrested for disorderly conduct.

On May 25 about 6:07 p.m. Chief Sean Smith was dispatched to Render's Warehouse Market for a retail theft report. Arrested at the scene was Lorraine Marouchoc, 227 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe. While at the scene Marouchoc began making suicidal statements to the officer at which time she was transported to the Blue Mountain Health Systems Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton, for a mental health evaluation.

On May 30 at about 1:02 a.m. two juveniles were cited for curfew violations by Wuttke. The two are from the Walnutport area.

Chief Smith filed felony charges against Brian Patrick Chatham, 2608 SR903, Box 1614, Albrightsville, for an incident that occurred at the county prison. Chatham is accused of picking up his cot in his cell and smashing the cell windows out causing about $600 in damages. The incident occurred on May 10, police said.

Officer Wuttke issued the following citations. On May 27 Tracy Marziani, 11 N. School St., Nesquehoning, was cited for driving under suspension and restraint systems (four-year-old child in a car not restrained) at SR209 and Railroad St.

Wuttke issued several speeding citations as follows: June 1, 42 miles-per-hour in a 25 zone at Park and Third aves.; June 4, 43 in a 25 zone same location, 57 in a 40 at SR209 and SR93, and 70 in a 40, same location; June 5, 68 in a 40 at SR209 and 93; June 6, no inspection on vehicle at Catawissa and Center sts., and speeding 77-55 zone at SR93 and Rifle Range.

Officer Breiner issued the following citation: June 2, expired inspection sticker at Mill St. and Mermon Ave.

Officer Brian White issued the following citations: June 1, expired registration, SR54 and "S" turns, and driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed, same location; June 6, speeding 70-40 zone and 59-40 zone, both at SR209 and SR93.
