June 11, 2004 Kory Bates pitches six scoreless innings and strikes out five batters to help lead Tamaqua to a 3-1 Schuylkill Legion win over Southern Area. Kyle Spotts collects two hits, one a double, and an RBI while Cody Valentine contributes a double and a run scored. Tamaqua also benefits from two double plays, both which were started on diving catches at first base by Mike Brennan.
