Schuylkill driver injured in crash

A Schuylkill County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 3:02 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, along SR25 in Hegins.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Glenn L. Knapp, 60, of Tower City, was eastbound in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado truck when a deer entered the road in front of him. Knapp swerved to the right causing the front right wheel of the truck to leave the road. The truck traveled about 100 feet before striking a tree with the right front bumper.

Knapp sustained a moderate injury and was treated at the scene by Hegins ambulance personnel, troopers said.
