Son accused of assualting mother
A son is accused of assaulting his mother.
State police at Lehighton said they responded to 7100 block of Lakeview Drive, in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, on June 6 about 8:30 p.m. to a report of a dispute.
Troopers said Roxanne Pepe and her son, Matthew Pepe, got into a verbal argument. It turned physical when the son allegedly struck his mother in the throat with both hands.
He was taken into custody and arraigned on a charge of simple assault and then committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of $10,000 bail.
