Arrests made for retail thefts

Three persons were arrested for retail theft in two separate incidents at the Walmart store in Mt. Pocono, Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on June 6 about 12:31 a.m. officers were called to the store for a theft incident involving two 17-year-old females. The two were observed by store security placing items in their purses and then attempting to leave without paying for them. The two were issued summary citations and released.

The second incident occurred on June 12 about 11:08 a.m. officers went to the store for another theft report. Jennifer Meissner, 33, of Cresco, was observed by store security placing 10 different cosmetic products in her purse and then attempting to leave without paying for them.

She was issued a summary citation and released.
