Monroe driver facing DUI charge

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident about 2:18 a.m. on Friday, June 18, along at Wildflower and Hunter drives in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Milton Maurice Edwards III, 24, of Tobyhanna, was stopped for a traffic code violation and found to be under the influence. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results.
