June 22, 1941 In a classic pitcher's duel, Mauch Chunk's Norwood Mack gets the better of Weissport's Stewart Izer in hurling his team to a 1-0 Black Diamond League victory. Mack finishes with a two-hitter, striking out 12 while walking three. Izer allows six hits in suffering the hard-luck loss. "Bud" Kresge collects two hits and scores the game's only run on an RBI single in the first inning by Binder.
