Driver cited after Schuylkill crash

A Schuylkill County driver was cited after she was involved in a one-vehicle crash about 5:43 p.m. on Monday, June 21, along SR183 in Cressona.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Melody A. Williams, 28, of Tremont, was southbound operating a 2001 BMW when she failed to negotiate a left curve. The vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole with the right front end. After impact the car spun in a clockwise direction and came to final rest facing northwest.

Williams was slightly injured and treated at the scene. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Williams for roadways laned for traffic.
