Carbon Babe Ruth playoffs this weekend

The Carbon County Junior Babe Ruth playoffs will get underway on Friday.

The Jim Thorpe Bruins captured the National League Division championship and the Franklin Patriots won the American League Division championship. They will be the top two seeds for the eight-team single-elimination tournament.

The championship game will be played on Monday, June 28 at Christman Field in Franklin Township.
