Cited for drunkenness

A Tamaqua man spent some time in a Tamaqua jail cell Thursday morning after he was found sleeping in the parking lot of the Fegley Mini Market30-32 Center St., Tamaqua.

Officers were dispatched to the convenience store at 4:20 a.m. and found Jesse Becker, 23, of 415 N. Railroad St., Tamaqua, on the ground, at the side of the store. While trying to awaken Becker, officers discovered he was visibly intoxicated and took him into custody.

He was later released and cited for public drunkenness.
