June 25, 1954 Willard Fritzinger gains the pitching win and also collects two hits while scoring two runs in Palmerton's 7-5 Tri-County Legion League win over Tamaqua. Fritzinger strikes out 10 batters and receives relief help from Dick Barilla, who fans the final two batters in the ninth inning to end a Tamaqua threat. The winners receive two hits and two runs from Parsons and while Frederick and Silliman each slug home runs. For Tamaqua, John Dalcin and Joe Plasko both collect three hits.
