Contract default

Ford Motor Credit Co., Box 6508, Mesa, Ariz., filed an action against Joseph Alfano, 609 Columbia Ave., Palmerton, alleging he defaulted on a motor vehicle installment sales contract. Sought is $10,848.01 plus interest, costs and fees.

Employment dispute

Herbert L. Kunkle, 93 Broad St., Ashland, Schuylkill County, filed suit against Mahoning Valley Orthopedics Inc., 146 N. Sixth St., Lehighton, and Daniel E. Muser, a medical doctor, and Robert B. Grob, osteopathic doctor and vice president of the corporation.

The suit states the plaintiff was hired by the defendants at a base salary of $200,000 in December 2009 and began work on Jan. 1, 2010. A short time later the plaintiff was notified he was being terminated and was told the corporation was suffering cash flow problems. The suit claims the defendants have not paid the entirety of the plaintiffs' salary due prior to terminating his contract including some portions of which date back to December 2009.

Alleged is a violation of state wage payment and collection law, breach of contract and other allegations. Sought is amounts of $32,000 for unpaid wages; $185,000 for wages per contract; $50,000 for defamation and slander of professional reputation; and $5,000 for conversion of personal goods.
