The engagement of Alissa Grell to Michael Muffley, both of Lehighton, has been announced by the couple and their parents.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Raymond and Beverly Grell of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Patricia and Skip Hoelker of Sioux City, Iowa. She earned a bachelor of science degree at Iowa State University and a master's of public health at Des Moines University.
She is employed as an infection control practitioner at Easton Hospital.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Linda and Mike Muffley of Lehighton. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Lafayette College, and is employed as a professional engineer at Hanover Engineering.
The couple is planning to wed in September of 2011.
