Tamaqua routs Schuylkill Vy.

Tamaqua's Legion team returned to the win column by beating Schuylkill Valley on Tuesday.

Despite allowing seven runs in the top of the first inning, Tamaqua bounced back and came from behind to defeat the Schuylkill Valley Falcons, 18-8 in six innings.

Tamaqua committed six errors in the opening frame and aided Schuylkill Valley to its big inning.

Still, the locals responded with 11 runs in the next two innings to take the lead. Tamaqua would go on to plate three in the fifth and four in the sixth to enact the ten-run rule.

Tamaqua-Jim Thorpe

Tamaqua's Blue All-Star team opened up District 18 play with smoking bats against Jim Thorpe and went on to win 16-0 in four innings.

Tamaqua was led by Zeke Wassel, who went 3-for-3 with three doubles. Josh Inama also had three hits, while Casey Rother, Ty kistler, Matt Weaver and Isaiah Kupchinsky each had two.

Thaddaeus Zuber held Jim thorpe to only one hit.

Tamauqa's Blue All-Star team pounded out 12 runs to beat Towamensing 12-9 on Sunday, June 27.

Tamaqua's Cody Scherer led the team with a home run and a pair of hits. Thaddaeus Zuber, Zeke Wassel, Casey Rother and Josh Inama each chipped in with two hits apiece. Matt Weaver added an inside-the-park homerun.

The next game will be on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against Franklin Township at Towamensing.
