A former Mahoning Township resident will be the grand marshal of the 12th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 19, in Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg. Thomas J. McCartney, son of Agnes McCartney, director of the Carbon County Tourist Association, and a Pocono resort manager, is the founding member of the Pocono Irish American Club. He is general manager of Caesar's Brookdale of the Lake, and will also be awarded the Tommy Cullen Shamrock Award.
