Arrests reported by Pocono police
Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on arrests made by officers in recent days.
On Feb. 28, about 1:52 a.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Copa Bar. The occupants were questioned by officers and were told by them that they were just leaving the bar. Further investigation revealed a large bag of marijuana containing multiple smaller baggies of marijuana found in the area where Kareem Johnson, 30, of Tobyhanna, was sitting.
He was placed under arrest and charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Feb. 27 about 4:05 p.m. officers on patrol along Oak St., in Mt. Pocono, observed a male urinating in the parking lot of the Mt. Pocono Plaza near the Kmart store.
The suspect was identified as Rohan Samaroo, 32, of Tobyhanna. He was cited for disorderly conduct and released.
On Feb. 27 about 11:30 a.m. officers responded to 2009 Cedar Drive, in the Emerald Lakes development, to a report of a gun being brandished in the home. While clearing the residence officers learned of a warrant for one of the occupants, identified as Erica Ferraro, 23, Long Pond. A warrant for her arrest was issued by Pocono Regional police.
Also cited at the scene was Kristopher Handberry, also of Long Pond, for hindering the apprehension of Ferraro. Ferraro was further cited for flight to avoid apprehension.
Both were taken into custody and placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
