Jewelry stolen in Monroe break-in

Jewelry valued at $3,000 was reported stolen in a Monroe County burglary.

State police at Fern Ridge said a home off a private road of the Gould development in Chestnuthill Township, was entered sometime between Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m. and Feb. 27 at 2:30 p.m. Entry was gained through an unlocked rear basement door. Several pieces of jewelry were taken.

Troopers did not identify the victim.
