The Tamaqua Senior Citizens group meets every Thursday, at 1 p.m., at the Tamaqua Community Center, located to the rear of Boyer's Food Mart.
Last week's meeting was cancelled due to the weather.
This week's meeting will include finalization of plans for a bus trip to the Sands Casino, Bethlehem, on March 8. More information is available by calling Jean at (570) 668-4165.
Anyone 55 or older is welcome to join. The meeting room is handicap accessible.
Rush, Ryan, Delano
The Rush, Ryan and Delano Seniors Inc. will resume regular meetings on March 9. The group will meet at 1 p.m. at the Ryan Township Fire Company, Barnesville.
New members are always welcome.
Bethany EC
The Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church. Nursery care is available. Sunday school classes will meet at 9:30 a.m.
Also on Sunday, a service will be held at the Tamaqua ABC High Rise, beginning at 6 p.m.
Activities for next week include: Monday, the Ministry Council will meet at 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Prayer Time at 8:30 a.m. and GriefShare at 1:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Freed Up Financial Living Class at 6:30 p.m., Tamaqua Youth Ministry at 6:30 p.m., adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m.: Friday, Couple's Bible study at 7 p.m., Youth Retreat at Twin Pines; Saturday, retreat continues, praise practice at 9 a.m.
St. Peter's
The Rev. Rodney Wells will officiate at the 9 a.m. worship service this Sunday in St. Peter's Union Church, Mantzville. The service will include Holy Communion and will be followed by a breakfast.
Also on Sunday, the Confirmation Class will meet at 1 p.m.
Activities for next week will include: Monday, Food Coop meets at 9 a.m.; Tuesday, Daisy Scouts meet at 6:30 p.m.; Wednesday, midweek Lenten service, 7 p.m., Ben Salem Church; Thursday, Prayer group meets at 5 p.m., Worship and Music Committee meeting at 6 p.m.
The choirs rehearse on Thursday. Next week's schedule will include: Cherubs at 6:30 p.m., Junior Choir at 7 p.m. and Senior Choir at 7:45 p.m.
