Plainfield, New Jersey's "The Doughboys" return to the the Mauch Chunk Opera House, 14 W. Broadway in Jim Thorpe on Saturday, March 6, at 8:30 p.m. with special guests The Easy Outs.

And at 2 p.m., you can meet-and-greet The Doughboys at the new home of "Sound Check Records" which is now located at 23 Broadway in Jim Thorpe.

The Doughboys' will be promoting their brand-new second album" Act Your Rage.

It was released on January 1, 2010 and consists of sixteen new songs recorded with the able assistance of engineer Kurt Reil (Grip Weeds) & mastering engineer Ed Stasium (Ramones, Living Colour, Smithereens, Marshall Crenshaw).

Two songs from their latest Album, "I'm Not Your Man" and "Why Can't She See Me?" have already been chosen as the Coolest Songs In The World by Little Steven Van Zandt on his Underground Garage show on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio.

The Doughboys played bills with such legends as The Beach Boys, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, Grand Funk Railroad, Question Mark & The Mysterians, and The Buckinghams, among many others.

They were the House Band at the legendary Cafe Wha? in Greenwich Village during the summer of 1968. The Doughboys continue blow audiences away with their authentic brand of high energy rock'n'roll!

The Doughboys are led by the Myke Scavone, who went on to front the mid-70's hard rock band, Ram Jam, who scored a hit with the song "Black Betty"; drummer Richard X. Heyman, an acclaimed singer/songwriter in his own right who's worked with Brian Wilson, Ben E. King and Peter Noone (who's recorded several of Richard's songs); and foundation of Mike Caruso on bass, who's worked with Tommy James, producers Bo Gentry and Kenny Laguna, and who in the course of session work jammed with Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Miles; along with the guitar artistry of Gar Francis who's worked with Billy Idol and in Stones cover band Sticky Fingers.

The Doughboys' show recaptures the glory of mid-60's rock. Along with their original music, they dig deep into the repertoires of the artists they cover, coming up with one crowd-pleasing gem after another.

Their sound evokes the Kinks, the Yardbirds and the Stones in the way that only bands that lived and breathed their essence could. Opening Band "The Easy Out" will kick of the show with their New York-style Rock and Roll.
