Older and bolder
The Older and Bolder Program, sponsored by the Tamaqua Salvation Army, will begin on March 10. The program will be held on following Wednesdays, with activities scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
Area residents age 55 and older are welcome to attend. Sessions will include organized activities, guest speakers and a light lunch for registered participants.

Calvary Methodist
The Rev. Brian Reading will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church, Lewistown Valley. A nursery room is available.
Also on Sunday, a time of evening praise and Bible study will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Next Wednesday's Lenten service will be held at Calvary UM, beginning at 7 p.m. with a hymn sing.
St. John UCC
The Rev. Kevin Duffy Guy will officiate at the 9:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday in St. John United Church of Christ. Nursery service will be provided. The service will be followed by a time of fellowship. Sunday school for all ages will begin at 11 a.m.
Activities for next week will include: Monday, Consistory meeting at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, joint Lenten service, at 7:30 p.m., at Trinity United Church of Christ.
Class of 1980
The Tamaqua Area High School Class of 1980 will meet March 10, at 7 p.m., to begin planning a 30th anniversary reunion. The meeting will be held at La Dolce Casa on West Broad Street, Tamaqua.
All class members are welcome to attend.
