Motorist driving illegally involved in Lansford crash

An accident at East Patterson and Springgarden streets in Lansford Wednesday evening revealed one of the operators was driving illegally.

According to a report released by borough police, a vehicle driven by Edward Eidem, 32, of 282 W. Snyder Ave., Lansford, was traveling south on Springgarden Street at about 5:20 p.m. when he struck a vehicle driven by Joseph Tracy, 23, of 974 West Penn Pike, Tamaqua, who was traveling north and attempting to turn left onto East Patterson.

Eidem was allegedly driving with a suspended license, no insurance and the plate on his vehicle did not match the vehicle he was driving.
