New York resident cited in Monroe
A New York resident is facing a charge of simple assault following an incident at 8206 Price Drive, in Jackson Township, Monroe County, whioh occurred about 9:43 a.m. on Saturday, March 6.
State police at Fern Ridge said Jason Velez, 28, Fairport, became involved in a verbal argument with Dililah Rodriguez, 25, of Reeders, over her Ipod. Velez allegedly slapped Rodriquez in the face twice and grabbed her by her right wrist. Troopers said Velez fled the scene prior to their arrival. He was charged with simple assault and the investigation into the incident is continuing.
