Tamaqua driver faces charges
A Tamaqua woman will be cited for hit-and-run after an accident in Tamaqua on Thursday.
Karen Reed was operating a Pontiac LeMans on W. Broad St. at 10:35 a.m. when she somehow struck a railing at the Tamaqua Area School District Administration Building, 138 W. Broad St. Reed fled the scene but was identified by witnesses.
She will be charged with hit-and-run and careless driving. The railing received moderate damage.
