Schuylkill man jailed for assault
A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Sunday, March 7, for domestic simple assault.
State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 7 p.m. at 1307 Catawissa Creek Road, in Zion Grove, North Union Township. Troopers said John E. Lupcho, 26, and Melissa R. Pesce, both of the above address, were arguing. Troopers said Lupcho allegedly threatened Pesce's life and slapped her in the face twice causing her nose to bleed.
Lupcho was taken into custody and arraigned before duty District Judge Anthony Kilker of Shenandoah and committed to the county prison in Pottsville in lieu of $15,000 percentage bail.
