Theft incident probed in Tamaqua

Tamaqua police are investigating the reported theft of a laptop computer.

Theresa Gallagher, of 124 Race St., called officers at 10:50 p.m. Sunday to report that her laptop was missing. The computer had been in the woman's living room.

Also Sunday night Richard Ritter, of 126 Race St., called police to report that someone had attempted to break into his home. The report was made at 9:52 p.m. and officers discovered damage to Ritter's front door.
