Two seriously injured in crash

Two Schuylkill County residents were seriously injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 11:30 p.m. Monday.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred in the area of 506 Meadow Drive, just south of Deiberts Valley Road, in South Manheim Township.

Troopers said Alicia Anthony, 20, of Auburn, was driving a 2001 Kia Sportage southbound at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle turned sharply to the left and began to roll over onto its sides. It continued across the northbound lane and then impacted with a pole building on the east side of the road. The Kia then coasted in a west direction and came to final rest on an embankment west of Meadow Drive. A vehicle parked in the pole building was also damaged.

Anthony and her passenger, Paul Zuk, 21, also of Auburn, were both flown by Medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
