Carbon driver facing DUI count

A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, along Spruce Hollow Road at Summer Mountain Road, in Lower Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said Elizabeth Mariana Finkel, 47, of Palmerton, was stopped for several motor vehicle code violations at the time and location stated. She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for suspected DUI.

Troopers said the DUI charge is pending chemical test results.
