Carbon man jailed for assault

A Carbon County man was jailed on March 6 following a domestic incident in Nesquehoning.

About11:19 p.m. officer Carl Breiner was dispatched to 16 E. Catawissa St. for a active domestic incident. On scene Breiner arrested Kevin Murray for allegedly assaulting Barbara Jean Clauss, both of that address.

Murray was arraigned before duty District Judge Edward Lewis, of Jim Thorpe, on charges of simple assault and harassment. Bail was set at $15,000 percentage. Murray was unable to post the 10 percent required and was committed to the county prison.
