A 12-year-old Summit Hill girl experienced the thrill of her young lifetime when she was selected randomly from thousands of Girl Scouts, and was asked to escort the first lady of the United States. Alicia Mansberry, daughter of William and Pat Mansberry, East Amidon Street, a sixth grade student at the Panther Valley Middle School, was one of 30 area Girl Scouts to travel to Washington D.C. to meet Mrs. Bush as part of the 80th anniversary of Girl Scouting. Alicia was approached by a woman who asked her if she would like to escort Mrs. Bush on stage.
