At least they left the kitchen sink

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary at a Carbon County residence and the theft from a county business.

Troopers said the home of Nicole Davis, 154 Brittany Drive, Valley View Estates, Penn Forest Township, was entered by forcing open a back patio door. Removed from the home was a bathtub, a kitchen stove and a kitchen countertop. The incident occurred sometime between Tuesday, March 9, at 4 p.m. and Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Troopers said the criminals also damaged the walls, ceiling and one window in the home.

The theft incident occurred at Twin Builders, located along SR903 in Penn Forest Township. Unknown persons removed four Propane tanks and 48, two by four's, from the property. Three tanks and two, two by fours, were located at a residence in Kidder Township on March 1. The thefts occurred between Feb 1 and March 1, troopers said.
