5 charged in burglary

Five people have been charged in a burglary that occurred late last year in Monroe County.

State Police at Lehighton said the incident occurred sometime between Nov. 29 and Dec. 31, 2009, when the perpetrators stole copper pipes from the home of Igor Svetnikov at 25 White Oak Drive, Polk Township.

Paul Snyder, 20, of Effort; Jasmine Feliciano, 20, of Kunkletown; Amanda Pensyl, 19, of Kunkletown; David Frantz Jr., 27, of Kunkletown; and a 17-year-old female of Kunkletown entered a crawl space below the residence and removed copper pipes. The actors also pried the rear door open and entered the residence owned by Svetnikov, 34, of Long Island, NY.

The total value of the property taken was $1,250. The total value of property damaged is $3,500.

The location was first burglarized by Frantz, who cut the copper plumbing and removed items from the crawl space and living areas from the residence.

Pensyl, Snyder, Feliciano and the 17-year-old female then entered the residence several times and utilized it as a hang out to smoke marijuana. At some point, the actors stole a flat screen TV and DVD player.

Items recovered were a flat screen TV, DVD player, Weedeater gas trimmer, and a Shakespeare Trolling motor.

Frantz has been charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, possessing instruments of a crime, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. His bail has been set at $10,000 straight.

Snyder has been charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass. His bail has been set at $10,000 unsecured.

Feliciano has been charged with burglary, theft, false reports to law enforcement and criminal trespass. Her bail has been set at $10,000 unsecured.

Pensyl has been charged with burglary, theft, false reports to law enforcement and criminal trespass. Her bail has been set at $10,000 unsecured.

The 17-year-old female has been charged with criminal trespass.
