Plans for a development program to open up Hauto Dam as a recreational area that could be enjoyed by "just about anybody" in the Panther Valley and surrounding towns were announced by The Panther Valley Water Company. Principal points in the plan include: 1. Establishing boating, fishing, and other recreational activities that would be available to the public; 2. A picnic area for the public; 3. Improving existing roads and building new ones; 4. Making land available for more cottage sites; 5. Providing commercial sites.
