Nesquehoning girl a karate champion

Christina Dacey, daughter of Ted and Lori Dacey of Nesquehoning, was awarded three trophies at the Coal Kicking Karate Tournament on March 7 at Marian High School. She is a fourth grade student in Mrs. Morgans' class at Panther Valley Elementary School and was the only girl competing with the boys in the tournament. She placed first in fighting, first place in form, and third place in weapons. She studies under Kevin Dillon in Nesquehoning. She presently wears a blue belt.
