Web site established by fire co. for 2011 state fireman's parade
A new internet Web site has been set up regarding the 2011 Pa. State Fireman's Association Parade. It can be accessed at: 2011pastateconvention.com.
The parade and corresponding convention will be held Sept. 21-24, 2011 at Lake Harmony.
Lake Harmony Fire Chief Ralph Lennon, co-chairman of the convention committee, said the new Web site will be utilized ot promote other attractions.
He said for a $50 fee, the fire companies will list your name/attraction with a link to your Web page, "which will be viewed by individuals from across Pennsylvania as well as neighboring states."
The link will be available for 18 months.

Checks can be made payable to LHVFC/AVFC State Convention, and mailed to 2011 State Convention, P. O. Box 1617, Lake Harmony, PA 18624.
This marks the first time the Pa. State Fireman's Association is being held in Carbon County.
Generally the state fireman's parade is held in larger population areas. Last year it was held in King of Prussia. The 2010 parade and convention will be held in Reading.
Lennon said there are platinum, gold, silver, and bronze sponsorships available for the parade.
Bruce H. Berger, Albrightsville fire chief, said the convention will be held at the Split Rock Resort and Convention Center.
The parade route will start at Big Boulder Ski Area and conclude at the Split Rock resort.
