Tamaqua man cited for theft

A Tamaqua man was cited for retail theft in Nesquehoning. It was one of several citations issued by borough police.

On Monday, March 15, about 2:45 p.m. Chief Sean Smith was called to Redner's Warehouse Market for a report of a theft incident. As a result Smith has charged Donald Yeakel Jr., of 113 W. Cottage Ave., with retail theft.

Other arrests included:

Officer Brian White has charged Frank D. Ingrassia, 106 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, for driving under suspension and speeding, 47 miles-per-hour in a 25 zone, at Oak and Catawissa sts. The incident occurred on Feb. 20.

White also issued traffic citations on Sunday, March 14, for obstructing an intersection at state routes 93 and 209 and failure to stop at a stop sign at the same intersection.

Officer Timonthy Wuttke issued the following traffic citations: On March 14 for passing in a no passing zone along at state routes 93 and 209; speeding, 58 in a 40 zone at the same location; speeding, 71 in a 55 zone along 93 at the rilfe range.

Wukke also cited Tracy Marzianni, 11 N. School St., Nesquehoning, for driving while under suspension in the 200 block of E. Catawissa St., on March 14.
